Rode my bicycle on Waiheke Island and drew these boat sheds. 8"x 10" sketchbook.

I'll work it up into a painting in the studio.

Screen "my summer garden."

The seeds of inspiration for this piece were sown when I planted a wild flower garden. "I needed a meadow in my life." There was great delight in watching the different flowers that appeared each day and I began recording these in my sketchbook. I started almost randomly adding elements each day to the screen, letting nature create the design… wild flowers, fruits, and berries. The garden attracted many new visitors, birds, insects and bumble-bees. This work was a revelation to me and brought
peace and beauty into my life.
